Angelo Nero d’Avola
Think Sicily. Now forget about mobsters and think again. Sicily is one of Italy’s oldest centres of civilisation and what could be more civilised than centuries of sitting down to large family lunches on long, sunny afternoons on shady terraces. That’s the Sicily of Nero d’Avola, the island’s native grape that produces the easy-going, velvety wine lubricating those long, family lunches.

Screw Cap, 75cl
This succulent and easy to drink wine is the product of selected grapes grown between the towns of Marsala and Agrigento in the Sicilian Belice Valley. This Nero d’Avola marries delicious bright cherry flavours with accents of herbs and spice and a light, smooth finish.
There’s a little hit of herbal acidity that makes it a great accompaniment to tomato-based pasta dishes, pizza or lighter cheeses like a fresh goats’ cheese.
