Domaine de Valdition Alpilles Rosé
Although not a Côtes de Provence, this is a typical rosé from Provence. Officially IGP Alpilles, this biodynamic/organic wine comes from the eastern end of the beautiful Alpilles hills that run East-West just South of St-Rémy-de-Provence. It’s a delicate, pale, dry rosé unusually including a little juice from the famed white Corsican grape variety, Vermentino, which gives it delicate, floral hints to go with red berries and a hint of white peach.

The incredibly stylish Domaine de Valdition is situated just outside the incredibly stylish village of Eygalières (Brangelina have been known to stay there) to the north of the Alpilles hills made famous by the brush of Vincent van Gogh. This was one of my (Guy) go-to wineries when my wife and I lived a few miles away. (Our village was not quite incredibly stylish enough for Brangelina.) We now import Valdition’s wines directly from Provence and hope that you enjoy discovering them as much as we have. You won’t find them many other places in the UK.
Valdition make incredibly stylish, organic / biodynamic wines and sell them in incredibly stylish bottles. Their rosé is distinctive in that it blends in a little white grape juice into their blend (Vermentino) which gives it a beautiful, scented, floral quality.
