Ponte Viro Primitivo
Oh how we love this cherry-chocolate, organic Primitivo. And we’re not the only ones, as people keep asking us when will it be back? But unfortunately our wholesalers are having difficulty getting deliveries across Europe. We’re also looking for an alternative, should supplies not become available again soon.
If you’re as big a fan as we are, drop us an email and we’ll let you know either when it’s back in stock or if we’ve found a replacement. In the interim, here are some similar wines to try – Foxglove Zinfandel, Origine Rouge, Tres Picos.
A 10% discount will be added automatically when you add 12 or more bottles of still wine to your basket. (Offer excludes sparkling wines and fine wines over £30)
10% off when you buy 12 or more wines

Primitivo (also known as Zinfandel in other parts of the world) has its ancestral home in this part of Italy. After being hand-picked and sorted, the grapes are vinified in stainless steel to maintain their fresh fruit character, then left to settle in oak vats for 10 months allowing the wine to soften and harmonise. The result is succulent bramble fruit, with gentle tannins and a fresh finish. This is a medium bodied wine that is perfectly enjoyable on its own.
