There are few finer things than finding a cultivar that not only belongs in modern South Africa but is so PHENOMENALLY tasty – its delicately pithy otherness is hard to describe but let’s have a go…
On the nose it has a curious blend of lemon peel, jasmine, pine, guava, café creme and wood shavings.
There’s a mix of pithy citrus flavours on the palate – lemon, orange and Christmas clementine, some of that guava then comes through for a round-yet-zingy finish with a warm tingle at the back of the throat.
