ARIEL Cabernet Sauvignon is a dealcoholized wine composed of Cabernet from the 2018 vintage, produced by J Lohr at their sustainable winery in Paso Robles, utilising all the care, expertise and attention given to their alcoholic wines. After undergoing fermentation in stainless steel, the wine is separated from the skins, and a portion of it is moved into oak for extended aging. Just prior to bottling, the alcohol is gently removed by cold filtration, leaving less than 0.5% alcohol by volume. ARIEL oak-aged Cabernet Sauvignon offers aromas of black currants, cherry, blueberries and chocolate, with soft tannins and a dry finish.
Ariel wines are made in a solar-powered winery. Markedly, the three-acre photovoltaic solar tracking array on site is the largest of its kind in the American wine industry and it provides over 90 percent of the winery’s annual energy.
