Gouden Carolus Single Malt

A whisky distilled from the mash of the brewer’s Gouden Carolus Tripel beer.

The Het Anker brewery in Belgium has been making beer since 1471. This is a relatively new departure, first released just over 10 years ago.

Full-bodied and well-balanced, with notes of wood, vanilla, caramel, and malt, notes of pear, orange, and stone fruit and a touch of black pepper. Look too for a subtle but distinctly “hoppy” note.

After distillation, Gouden Carolus Single Malt undergoes a dual maturation process, aging first for 30 months in first-fill bourbon barrels.and then finished with 6 months in special American oak “Anker” barrels- oak casks crafted to Het Anker’s own specifications.
