Chimay Rouge (Red) is the oldest and a classic Belgian Trappist Dubbel ale from Chimay Abbey, known for its coppery-red hue, sweet fruity notes (apricot, caramel), subtle spice, and balanced bitterness, offering a medium body with hints of malt, banana, and toast.
It’s best served at cellar temperature (i.e. cool not cold) in a chalice. What? You don’y have a chalice? But the chalice from the palace is the brew that is true. (The pellet with the poison’s in the vessel with the pestle, btw.)*
