Deep oaky nose with notes of acacia and Wurthers Originals. Clean, green, lightly saline initial hit on the palate evolves slowly through a moment of lime and herbal astringency into a long caramel finish.
The vines of more than 60 years old, from which our Albillo Mayor grapes come from, are located among Tinto Fino vineyards, as the locals traditionally planted in the area at that time. Located in the provinces of Soria and Burgos. From them we obtain limited yields that give rise to grapes of great oenological potential that after its delicate elaboration give us as a result a complex wine for aging.
The 2021 vintage was an excellent vintage in Ribera del Duero. It began with abundant snowfall and temperatures below -20ºC. It was a blessed year with abundant spring rains and early bud break. However, the mild summer with low rainfall brought controlled vegetative growth. This year’s vintage produced wines with a high aromatic expression, sweet and pleasant in the mouth and with great cellaring potential. These are wines with a good balance between acidity and alcohol, with power and fullness.
