Rum cask finishing imparts a distinct tropical twist on the classic Speyside style, with a nose of pear and red apple, with a “fabulous tropical twist of ripe bananas in syrup”.
On the palate there are rich notes of caramel and toffee, followed by mandarin orange, vanilla, and honeydew melon and hints of pineapple and mango.
The finish is delicate, citrusy and exceptionally smooth.
For an extra Caribbean twist, rather than adding a splash of water, add a splash of coconut water instead.
