Good, honest, Portuguese red with plenty of character for a wine at this price point. A lot of liquorice on the nose follows with a great blend of fuller fruit and soft mineral notes on the palate, there are soft cherry flavours, baking spice and soft vanilla notes in the finish.

Local varieties Jaen, Alfrocheiro, Touriga Nacional, and Tinta Roriz are sourced from the Dão region. After harvesting each grape variety is vinified separately, with gentle extraction, and aged in cement tanks. In the spring following the harvest they are blended together, and the wine remains in cement before bottling.
Appealing and lifted red fruit aromas with a gently herbal note. Crunchy strawberry and raspberry fruit on the palate, which is fresh and elegant with smooth tannins and bright acidity.
