Bruichladdich Classic Laddie

The Classic Laddie is crafted from 100% Scottish barley and is non-chill filtered and free from artificial coloring. This refreshingly light single malt combines an array of whiskies from 76 different casks. It is bottled unfiltered at cask strength (50% ABV) for maximum flavour and body. It is recommended, therefore, to drink your dram with a dash of water to temper the alcohol, sure, but also to release the whisky’s essential oils and aromas.

Each batch is unique, blended from a variety of cask types and vintages, reflecting a “philosophy, rather than a recipe”. Consumers can enter a code from their bottle on the Bruichladdich website to discover its specific recipe.

The aroma is reminiscent of a sea breeze with notes of marine saltiness followed by honey, baked apple, barley sugar and hints of wild flowers (buttercup, primrose).

The palate is smooth and lively, offering flavors of sweet malt, ripe orchard fruits (red apples, white grapes), vanilla, honey, and a touch of sweet cinnamon and brown sugar.

The finish is long and refreshing, with lingering notes of malt sweetness, soft vanilla, citrus, heather-honey, a gentle oak spice, and a delicate coastal minerality or sea-spray tang.
