To paraphrase singer Jake Shears, occasional Rise & Vine customer Ana Matronic (thank you, Ana), and the rest of Scissor Sisters, it’s time to make your mama feel special again.

Maybe you won’t manage to take your mama out all night. Maybe your mama’s over 80 and restricts their disco dalliances at ‘The Ministry’ to nothing after 3am these days? Maybe you’re under 8² and your mama keeps their disco dalliances to around 3pm in the kitchen before you get back from school/daycare? But whatever manner of mama, at Rise & Vine we’re offering mama-focused treats to make next weekend more special…

Is your Mama Pink or Pinot?

In helping you make your mother’s day, Rise & Vine concedes that not all mamas are of the pink and fluffy variety (nor even have the occasional pink and fluffy moment). Some mamas are more ‘pink’, some mamas are more ‘pinot’. But whatever way your mummy crumbles (sooner or later they all do), Rise & Vine wants to help you celebrate her/them. (Yes, we recognise that some families are more, shall we say ‘traditional’ and others are more ‘modern’³? We don’t care. We still want to help you celebrate them.)

Please note that local E-bike deliveries ordered before 5pm occur after 6pm on the same day. Orders received later than 5pm are delivered next day after 6.

Take your mama out

Any mama being brought for a drink in Rise & Vine over Mothers’ Day weekend will be offered a free glass of pink fizz or Pinot Noir.

Take the mountain to ‘Mum’hamed

Don’t have time to drop in for a free glass of wine at R&V? Add a half-price bag of our infamous salted caramel chocolate truffles to your purchase of a bottle of Sparkling Rosé or Pinot. (Offer available in store from next Friday (28th) until Sunday evening, and to pre-order here.)

Mummy’s done delivery, now it’s your turn

You don’t even need to come into the shop to get your half-price chocolate supplement (above). If you’re local, order before 5pm and we can deliver that same evening by e-bike. Further afield, for safety’s sake, get your order in on Monday or Tuesday and we’ll get the delivery to you by Friday.

Try before you buy

(Yes, daddies, we bet you did, too!) Next weekend, our wines on tasting will be, you guessed it, a Sparkling Rosé and a Pinot Noir. Anybody dropping into the shop on Saturday or Sunday afternoon will be invited to try our wares.

¹ Cheap Champagne – that’s a thing of the past nowadays. (If you do find some, be very careful, there are even cheaper ways of getting heartburn!!) Try Crémant (white or pink) or Franciacorta instead: the rest of France or Italy’s more affordable alternatives to Champagne, made in exactly the same way from the same grape varieties. Our Rathfinny English Sparklers are as good as a Champagne, too (and not much cheaper, tbh!). A good Cava – not that cheap, over-branded stuff in the supermarket , I said a good one – will do the trick to (different grape varieties but the same technique, unlike Prosecco). Ours is organic, dry as a bone, and great value at £15.

And we apologise for any age-inappropriate adult content, too. I may have mentioned Priti Pratel occasionally and so I apologise if I gave you nightmares!
