A soft, approachable, easy drinking champagne, fine, lively bubbles create a soft mousse on the pallet. The nose is full of mushroom, creamy scrambled egg, bread dough and something earthier which summons up memories of beaten earth floors in Champagne cellars. In the mouth it’s soft and mouth filling with an initial hit of citrus that rounds out to apple (green and red), vienoisserie (brioche/croissant) and toast.
Dival Cotel Brut NV is a very well balanced Champagne, revealing fine and elegant bubbles, unleashing the freshness of Meunier, the finesse and precision of Chardonnay and the structure that Pinot Noir brings. Bracing lemon and red apple acidity, toasted hazelnuts and crème caramel this is a great value, easy drinking style of Champagne.
The Champagne Dival Cotel Brut Non-Vintage is a blend of Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes sourced mainly from the crus of the Marne Valley and the Côte des Blancs region. The winemaking and ageing (in excess of three years), takes place in the century-old chalk cellars at Aÿ.
