‘Le Grapiot’, Chardonnay ‘Sans Sulfites’, Domaine Désiré Petit
If you’re one of those (not completely unjustified) people that thinks all natural wines (made without added sulphites) are funky and not in a good way, then here’s one to confound you.Remarkably fresh, precise and tidy this is a stunning example of what a natural wine can be.

As if Jura wasn’t trendy enough, winemaker Damien’s only gone and upped the ante by producing a no added sulphite Chardonnay.
Lighter stone fruit, direct minerality and subtle oak combine in perfect harmony.
The fruit comes from 50-year-old vines and the winemaking story is one of less is more… The wine is fermented and aged in new oak foudres but with minimal toast, with no filtering, no added sulphites and no racking this is essentially left alone for its formative years.
